Targeted Web Traffic

Attention: Find Targeted Web traffic – only $1.

Watch out! This is a “NO Bull ZONE!”

You Can DO This!

You Can DO This!

Targeted web traffic is the best kind of traffic to get!

Think about it. imagine that you have a website that sells “rain umbrellas.”

Yes, there are many kinds of umbrellas but this example is of a site that specializes in rain umbrellas.

So you’d want your site to have good offers for rain umbrellas and to be optimized for some good keywords.

Optimizing for rain umbrellas may be a good idea but I’d rather be optimized for “buy rain umbrella” and “purchase rain umbrella” because those keywords are what I call “buyer keywords” and you may experience the happy coincidence of easier to rank for keywords AND higher conversions as well.

A nice combo.

Remember….Offer + Traffic = Sales.

But you don’t want just any old traffic! You want traffic that is indicating an interest in your offer by virtue of the keywords they choose to search with.

It’s simple. People that type in “buy rain umbrella” are strong candidates for converting into a sale at your site that has what they are looking for.

But that’s not why I’m here with you today.

I’m here to see if a new blog post will get ranked up fairly quickly for it’s keyword by using this method I’m going to show you.

This post isn’t about umbrellas. It’s about targeted web traffic. It’s url is http://makinganinternetmarketer.com/targeted-web-traffic and by gosh…I want to rank on page one for that term!

Over at the Google keyword tool, set on “exact” it shows 1600 searches per month and, if you were at the top of page one you could reasonably expect a minimum of 400-500 visitors per month for ranking #1 for that one term (keyword phrase).

So here is what I’m going to do. Michael Campbell showed this to me a week back and I jumped a couple of blog posts up fast using it. I think. I’m very new to this..or is it that this is very new to me?

Here’s what you do. Well, actually here’s what I am going to do right after I finish this post. I may decide later that I should hold back on publishing right away because my blog is now old enough that my posts get indexed by Google fast, often in minutes.

But that doesn’t mean they are ranking high for their keyword! That’s what we want.

So…I write the post. This is it. You are reading it. It’s about targeted web traffic. It’s url has that term in it. The title has that term in it. That term is scattered about in the copy and, for good measure I’ll make sure the keyword is at the beginning of the last paragraph, too.

I’ll have one or two pictures in the post that will be named “targeted-web-traffic” in the “alt text” box in back of the picture. (not where it can be seen by anyone but the spiders.)

After that is together I’ll put a snippet of this post at Digg, Reddit, and Propeller. Right away.

Then I’ll bookmark these snippets at Stumbleupon, Delicious, and Google Bookmarks. Right away. At this point this amounts to 12 actions – AFTER the post!

Then I’ll ping 3 of these bookmarks. Total actions = 15. Are you with me? Count the red arrows!

Jiggling?

Want to know where this post ranks for it’s keyword… “targeted web traffic”? Go to scroogle, type it in and use the search feature. I’d better be there with bells on. If i’m not on the first page I should be showing a solid advance daily.

Well, I have work to do. See you later.

PS: Dateline Feb 10 and I forgot about this post! Well, back to the drawing board because this post is NOT ranked well for it’s keyword “targeted web traffic” and we just can’t have that so I’ll report in a day or two….unless I forget.  rw

Thank you for that very helpful information. This is the first time I have heard of “scroogle”. If all your blogs are on one page that continues on, how do you get the keyword in the URL for each post?

Nancy,

Thank you for being here!

In a blog such as this one, each time I write and publish a post, that post is then given a publish date and it’s own unique url. Google doesn’t rank sites. They rank pages, or, in this case, post’s. Each page or post has it’s own “juice.”

The rank for http://makinganinternetmarketer.com/ is 1

The rank for http://makinganinternetmarketer.com/targeted-traffic is 3!

Guess which page will get shown the most for any keyword phrase that has “targeted traffic” in it.

Right now, I am currently optimizing my pages (posts) for “targeted traffic” keywords and it’s “cousins” and I’m in the top ten for a few of them.

The whole point, for me, in doing this, is to get traffic that is interested in learning about how to get traffic to their sites, targeted and for FREE!

Here’s a great example…If you could get a page well ranked for “buy rain boots online” all you’d really need is a good offer on “rain boots” on that page!

That, and the ability to pick the right keywords and get your page ranked for those keywords.

This is the half of the equation that you really want to get right. This is the “traffic” half.

Offer + Traffic = Sales. See more… http://makinganinternetmarketer.com/targeted-web-site-traffic/

Keyword generated traffic is the best type of traffic that there is and it’s why I say that keywords are the “Keys To The Kingdom”!

Learn a little something every day, and at the end of the year, you will be pleasantly surprised.
