Make Money Online! How I Did It…and How You Can Too!

Just like you often hear, making money online is easy! Once you know how to do it and you have covered some learning points first. The promoters of easy online marketing often leave that out.

For almost two years (150 posts on this blog) I have been trying to make

sense of Internet Marketing and to pick a direction to go for myself.

First, a little history.  I’ve been in Sales and Marketing for 34 years and recently retired at 60.

But rather than run out, hop on my motorcycle and hit the road (motorcycle touring is the most fun I’ve ever had and I’ve been dong it for years), I became consumed with the idea of making money online.

My “dream” is that I build simple little websites with one affiliate product per site, and MAYBE with some adsense, and that those simple sites would put money into my Paypal account without me even being there. That’s the dream and it’s becoming the reality. See, for example this Squidoo site I made following One Week Marketing rules.

That’s what’s working for me and that’s what I can show you.

When you are looking around for ways to make money online keep in mind that there are certain “basics” that you really have to know a bit about or you can’t do the job.

Here’s what the job is.

1. You need a website and a domain name. I recommend Hostgator. Sign up there and have them install a Wordpress blog on your Domain Name – WP blogs are FREE! And Hostgator won’t charge you a nickle to get it up and running for you.

2. You need an offer on that first page of your spanky new blog. That’s pretty easy. Pick one and get it up there.

3. Now all you have to do is send traffic to that web page with your affiliate offer on it.  But not just ANY old traffic!  You want to send traffic that has shown an inclination to buy what you are offering. They are a LOT more likely to buy.

And this is easily do-able! If you work steadily at it and pay attention as you go.

So you get one site making you a bit of money and you make yourself a second one. By the way, the second one will be MUCH easier AND better, too!

And the third? Well let’s just say that you’ll be pretty good at these things by then. Now you have three sites making you money.

Necessary Character Traits: You Must Have A Strong Work Ethic!  This is work, especially at first while you have to learn everything and get it all set up.
