This is the continuing examination of an attempt by yours truly to generate traffic through article marketing and possibly sell folks that are interested in that type of thing to consider an Article Marketing tutorial I offer.

This page is getting big and with that possibly confusing, but…
Folks…I write articles for traffic. I’m looking for ways to turbocharge my efforts WITHOUT increasing my workload.
First, I write all of all my articles. Many people recycle old stuff!
So, I’ll write the articles, which are essentially a description of my journey from knowing nothing about Internet Marketing to actually knowing quite a bit about it.
But I want someone else to do the laborious work of submission to the article directories.
I found an outfit called www.submityourarticle.com
I have now submitted 4 articles via their service. (15 by Jan 8 2008)
I checked Google for the title and it’s kind of ego gratifying. Over 80,000 locations for my article! THAT’S BIG!
Oddly enough I saw NO PICKUP in traffic! I’ll keep you posted. (this was in Nov 2008 by Jan 2009 I’m seeing substantial traffic pickup AND sales! I’m starting to feel it, AND THAT’S WHAT STEVE TOLD ME TO EXPECT.

You can earn some money fast with article marketing but you have to have the set-up in place.
Here is the essence of of that deal.
You set up a sales page and autoresponder series call Free Report Jackpot.
You write a couple or three articles on the merits of free reports.

Well…so I went to Isnare and I found out what I should have guessed…you don’t get some things as you would if you were a paying customer. I have to say though, that they look very reasonable and if they can actually place 5 articles at 40,000 distribution sites for $10 bucks…then they have my business.
Today is Nov 3 2008 and when I was at Isnare I got a little surprise.
Lead time! I’m not used to that! Here’s the dialogue box (it may lose something in translation)

This is what happened to one article that I submitted only once to Ezinearticles.
I didn’t know what to expect… but don’t you love the computer age?
I submitted that in Oct 2007. Along with a few others. I had traffic to my site!
Later on ( due to multiple submissions) I had (about 10 times) this scale.
Assuming that’s what happened..it agrees with my Google Analytics pretty close.
I’m showing you this…one article, submitted one time to one Ezinearticles.
And then I submitted the same article to more article submission outfits.
Imagine if you did more! And I did. And I had big traffic (by my standards)
But I got way-layed by a huge profitable Google Adwords deal and I couldn’t (didn’t want) to go away from that!
Now I do. The GA money is still coming in. That’s so exciting for me. But it’s not what I came here to do. (If you are interested in what I did with Google Adwords to make a big hunk of money spread over a year or so – riley@rwestdotcom.com)
Anyway….Look at this EzineArticles Graph…I put my article in in Oct 2007.
It drove Traffic for 8 or 9 months! Now…this is one article! Submit it to ten places!!
Now…do ten articles! See!
At first, a couple of years ago, I had even less idea of how to do this thing than I do now! Actually I’m quite a bit better! That happens.
Still, this is one of about 30 articles I submitted ( To Ezine Articles – It’s their stats)
No wonder I had traffic! Article Marketing Works!

Hello Fellow prospective Internet Marketers!
I switched out of SYA and INTO Isnare in the early part of Mar 2009.
MY BLOG VISITORS DROPPED PRECIPITOUSLY! COINCIDENCE? WE’LL SEE.
I am in the process of submitting all the articles I wrote for SYA over to Isnare!
I should have it done by the end of the month.
Here’s an interesting note. BOTH SYA and ISNARE submit my marketing articles to places I think are just stupid.
For example, SYA sent my articles to a Newfoundland Real Estate office. Hmmm.. AND Isnare sent my articles to the Plastics Industry Magazine (Blog). Now…HOW ARE THOSE RELEVANT?
They sure as heck don’t have a high page rank.
And, lately I heard that if you have a page rank of 2 and you link to a page rank 1…it has the effect of lowering your score. IF that’s true why would I want my articles submitted to IRRELEVANT, low page rank, sewing circles??
